Introduction: Hi, my name is David Gentry. I am your 2014-2015 Clinton FFA President. I am a 17 year old Senior here at Clinton. My FFA History: I have been an active member since the beginning of my Freshman year. I joined FFA because of my previous contact with our two FFA advisors (Mr. Mann & Mr. Rogers) showing Market Hogs in 4-H. Once I got here to high school, I got into other activities that FFA offered. As I got exposure I really enjoyed the activities and ran for an office position. And here I am. FFA Activities: Livestock Showing (Pigs, and Chickens), Land Judging, Livestock Judging, Poultry Judging, and Parliamentary Procedure. Why I am Who I am: My raising is why I am who I am. I had always rode along with my papaw gradually learning the ropes. All this would be tested to all my family's surprise the summer between my 7th and 8th grade year. I had to take over in the middle of hay season due to an unforeseen situation. This is what I credit my experience to. I still help my papaw every hay season and pretty much roll the hay for him. He has taught me a lot along with my mom, dad, and others.
